Sharon L. Esgar, 62, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was born in Pratt, Kansas on August 8, 1942. She attended Yuma schools and graduated from Yuma High School in 1960 and Casper College in Casper, Wyoming in 1962.

She married R. William Payne on August 3, 1963 and lived in various places before moving back to Yuma. She married Roger H. Esgar on March 24, 1984 and has remained in Yuma since, except for her summers in Colorado.

She is survived by her husband, Roger H. Esgar of the home, two sons, Mark W. (Kari) Payne of Denver, Colorado and Patrick L. (Rachel) Payne of Las Cruces, New Mexico; step-daughters, Mary Lynn Dunny and Linda (John) Carroll; sister, Willene (Chuck) Williams; brother, William A. (Marie) Evans. She is also survived by 4 step-grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, F. Willard Evans and Opal (Beal) Evans.

Funeral services are Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Methodist Church with Reverend Randa L. Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s name to Trinity United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be John Carroll, Chet Dunny, Walter Spencer, Aubrey Warner, Gary Foy, and Thad McCloud.
