Set up PAF generated web pages for hand held devices.

These changes make the web page easer to move around (click) on hand held devices.

To start the web page generator click “tools” then “create web page…”.

Select the values you want on the web page and click “next”.

Input required data in form and click “Advance HTML”.

Add the Meta tag in the “HTML code to appear on top of the page” window.

Click “OK”.

Click “finish”.

Find the directory where PAF generated data is stored note location given by the input in local web page folder. See “Create Web Page” figure above and folder preference in PAF

My Documents

Open index2.htm with note pad (use only note pad).

And insert the inline style sheet in the head section.

NOTE the style section must be in the head section Save the file. 

Also add the same style section to index3.htm.

Open index.html with note pad and add the line spaces to the table of contents section as shown.

Add the “<p> </p>” on each <li> line and one before the first <li> reference. A space must be between the <p> and the </p>. A space between the a> tag and the <p> </p> is not required.

Check the web page using your browser (IE).  When this page displays correctly copy to your web host or your hand held device.

The procedure for Ancestral Quest14 is similar (I have not tried Roots Magic).
