Died intestate and administration was granted 17 july 1751 to his widow,who then signed by mark, and (probably her brother) Jonathan Coleman ofHintlesham, who could write his name.


Mary Coleman

Illiterate, signing by mark in 1751.
Died intestate and administration was granted 29 April 1765, to her sonJeffrey Norman of Chattisham, yeoman, and John Cook of Raydon, yeoman,both of whom signed their names.


John Timperley Hicks

Had 12 children.
Took over Great Holland Hall (house & estate) in 1800 as tenant farmer to the Naval Knights of Windsor.
Hall passed to his son Charles Hicks in 1829.
