The Black Bell is an inn on the corner of Museum Street, Ipswich, thatwas still flourishing in 1931.

Will made in 1810. Executors were Thomas Bristow of Ipswich,brandy-merchant and John Norman of Chattisham, farmer. Witnesses wereJohn Dunningham, Shepherd, Dunningham. proved 22 May 1816 by theexecutors.

Headstone in Chattisham churchyard standing NE of the chancel,commemorates Henry Timperley, late of Ipswich, innkeeper, died November27 1815 age 76 (born 1738 - 39). The same headstone states that Ann hiswife died 3 Jan 1817 at Brighton and was there buried.
