John Kidwell II

Died in Grainger Co., TN. prior to 1 Jul 1848 when it was announced in church;
he was a Baptist preacher & circuit rider on the Tennessee frontier; said to
have preached as a young lad to George Washington's troops; an adolescent
magistrate in his local community; assisted in establishing the Kidwell Ridge
Baptist Church on Big Ridge close to Morristown, TN; Married 1st to Nancy Agnes
McKey 6 Sep 1787 in Franklin(now Greene Co., TN.); M. 2nd Mrs. Catherine (Wolf)
Davis (b. abt. 1788 in TN) 6 Sep 1820); (Priscilla Kidwell, op. cit. p. 9; H.
Kidwell ltrs. dtd. 29 Nov 1987 & 25 May 1988)
Buried near Morristown, grave moved no marker.
